Refund Policy for The Welding Shop

At The Welding Shop, we strive to provide the highest quality products and services to our customers. However, if you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help. Please review the following terms for our refund and return policy.
Returns
Our policy lasts 7 to 14 days from the date of receiving your item. If 14 days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
- Unused and in the same condition that you received it.
- In its original packaging.
- Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase.
Certain goods are exempt from returns, including:
- Hazardous materials or flammable liquids/gases.
- Downloadable software and gift cards.
- Any item that is not sealed in its original vacuum-sealed packaging, such as flux-cored wire and welding rods that may oxidize upon exposure to air.
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you via email. If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original payment method within 7 business days.
Partial refunds may be granted for:
- Items that are returned damaged or incomplete.
- Items returned after the 7-day return window but within 14 days (subject to approval).
Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, please:
- Check your bank account.
- Contact your bank or credit card company (processing times vary).
- If the issue persists, email us at orders@theweldingshop.co.za.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need an exchange, email us at orders@theweldingshop.co.za with details and proof of the defect.
Shipping
- You are responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning items.
- Shipping costs are non-refundable.
- If you receive a refund, the return shipping cost may be deducted from your refund amount.
- If the item is defective or incorrectly shipped, we will cover the return shipping cost.
Warranty Claims
Warranty claims are not covered by The Welding Shop. Warranties are provided and managed by the respective brand or supplier.
- Warranty periods and conditions are determined by the brand or supplier and may vary by product.
- The Welding Shop will facilitate the collection and delivery of warranty claims on behalf of the customer.
- If a warranty claim is rejected by the brand or supplier, the customer will be responsible for any costs incurred for assessment, collection, or return shipping.
- The Welding Shop will not be held responsible for any rejected warranty claims, as the final decision lies with the brand or supplier.
